About our teams in NTR

Investment

The investment team is responsible for the deployment of capital. They assess the relative attractiveness and potential risks of each investment opportunity. The team works with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure that priorities are in line with NTR’s investment strategy, ESG priorities and the company’s commitment to help drive the green energy transition.

The team comprises individuals with financial, engineering, banking and commercial qualifications and backgrounds. We look for investment professionals with a natural passion for renewable energy, an inquisitive mindset and the ambition to originate and execute market opportunities. Core to this is having the ability to manage risks and maximise value for our clean energy asset portfolio and our investors.

Finance, ESG, Risk & Operations

The Finance, ESG, Risk & Operations team manages the governance, risk and financial management of the funds and their underlying investments. They manage ongoing investor and banking relationships and they lead the independent asset valuation process. This multi-faceted team supports fundraising activities, executes the ESG strategy for the business and continuously strives to strengthen our delivery capabilities through digital transformation.

With assets managed across a diverse range of geographical locations and regulatory environments and, as a critical partner to the Investment and Construction & Asset Management teams, we look for ambitious individuals capable of strategic commercial thinking to support the success of the wider business.

Construction & Asset Management

NTR’s development and construction programme managers, together with operational asset managers, work hand in hand with the Investment Team during the pre-acquisition due diligence phase. They advise on the technical aspects of prospective acquisitions. Post acquisition, they drive the development and build programmes to deliver projects in line with the investment case.

The operational asset management team then takes ownership of the projects and manages the opportunities and risks during operations to optimise value. This work involves technical, commercial and risk management. On any given day, an asset manager can be called on for engineering problem solving, undertaking contractual reviews and negotiations, safety and risk management, commercial negotiations, PPA optimisation activities and budgeting.

The team has engineers from various specialities including mechanical, civil and electrical with even the occasional physicist.
