NTR Announces Appointment of Incoming Chief Investment Officer

Dublin, 5th May 2021:  NTR today announced the appointment of Anthony Doherty as Chief Investment Officer Designate replacing outgoing CIO, Manus O’Donnell.  Mr. Doherty has also been appointed to the board of NTR plc, taking his board seat in May 2021.

Mr. Doherty has been with the NTR group for 11 years and has extensive renewables investment experience across multiple technologies including wind, solar, energy storage and the bioenergy and energy-from-waste sectors.  He has executed over €1.75 billion of renewable energy equity and debt transactions across Europe and the USA.

Commenting on the appointment, Rosheen McGuckian, CEO of NTR said: “I am really delighted to announce Anthony’s appointment as CIO Designate.  Over the past few years, Anthony has played a central role in our transformation into one of Europe’s leading renewable energy specialist investment houses and he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in our plans for further rapid growth.”

In further news of appointments, following nine years with NTR group and having executed transactions totalling multiple hundreds of millions of euro, Mr. Kevin Ryan has been appointed Director – Investments.
