Matt Delnick - Chief Executive Officer
Matt Delnick is the Chief Executive Officer of Greenstar Recycling North America. In this role he is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operations and long-term growth of the company.
Matt joined Greenstar Recycling in 2008 as Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for Finance, Corporate and Business Development, Human Resources and Information Technology. In 2010 he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Previous to joining Greenstar Recycling, Matt was Vice President of Finance at LaFarge North America, the largest diversified supplier of construction materials in the US and Canada. In his time at Lafarge, Matt led the Financial Service Center for North American operations which had revenue of $7 billion. Prior to joining Lafarge, Matt spent time with large organizations in the retail and service sectors with a majority of that time spent with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in multiple operating groups throughout the US in the areas of finance, risk management, and human resources.
Dan Crociata - Chief Financial Officer
Dan Crociata is the Chief Financial Officer for Greenstar Recycling, North America. In this role, Dan is responsible for all Finance matters for the organization.
Previous to joining Greenstar Recycling, Dan was the Vice President of Finance & Administration for Silver Line Building Products, a division of Andersen Windows. Prior to that, Dan spent 8 years with Lafarge North America and has 12 years of experience in the building materials industry. At Lafarge North America, his most recent position was Vice President of Finance for their Western U.S. Region. Prior to that, Dan held various roles such as Plant Controller, Division Controller and Director of Shared Services.
Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (major in Accounting) from Central Michigan University and a MBA degree from Wayne State University. In addition Dan is a Certified Management Accountant and past Vice President of the IMA Detroit Chapter.
Dennis Soriano - Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Dennis works with the team in the areas of operations, safety, maintenance, municipal development, human resources and manufacturing.
Dennis has 17 years of experience in the recycling and solid waste industry in both the public and private sectors. He was the driving force behind the growth of Automated Material Handling, a Connecticut based recycling company with 8 facilities servicing 5 states. When the company was sold in 1999 to Waste Management, Inc., Dennis assumed the position of Vice President of Recycling for the eastern U.S. and Canada. In that role he was responsible for more than 30 recycling facilities, processing 35% of Waste Management’s recyclable materials. During his final years at WM Recycle America, Dennis held the position of Vice President of Business Development for this $1 billion division of Waste Management. His responsibilities included acquisitions, divestitures, asset utilisation and profit improvement.
Brian Gaughan - Vice President, Commodity Trading
Brian Gaughan is responsible for Greenstar’s commodity trading unit that markets the company’s recycling commodities domestically and internationally. He is also involved in the coordination and implementation of the various strategic business units within the company.
Brian has over 15 years experience in the recycling and solid waste industry. He has held various management positions throughout the U.S. with Smurft-Stone, Enron (Pulp and Paper Division) and Waste Management Recycle America. During his career he has managed operations, sales & marketing, procurement, finance, merger & acquisitions and business improvement areas within the industry.
Sara Conte - Director of Corporate Development
Sara Conte is the Director of Corporate Development for Greenstar Recycling, North America. She is responsible for marketing, public relations, legislative initiatives and other research and development activity. Sara worked for NTR, Greenstar’s parent company, for six years in Dublin, Ireland prior to joining Greenstar Recycling. At NTR she was responsible for corporate strategy, business planning and other analysis. In 2005 Sara helped the company narrow its focus from a broad infrastructure provider to a leading developer of renewable energy and sustainable waste management. In 2006/2007 Sara helped develop the business strategy and market launch of Greenstar Recycling.
Previous to joining NTR, Sara spent eight years in management consulting and investment banking. Sara graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Tim Herman - President, National Sales
Tim Herman is responsible for leading the company sales, including national accounts. As the founder and president of Delta Management Group, Tim joined Greenstar Recycling through its partnership/acquisition of Delta in 2007. Tim’s leadership and sales efforts resulted in Delta Management Group receiving various.
Prior to forming Delta, Tim was Executive Vice President (with the responsibility of Chief Operating Officer) of Texas Disposal Systems, the largest privately owned solid waste provider in Texas. He was President of Weiswaste, a waste broker/management company with over 8,000 locations under management in the U.S. (sold to Oakleaf in 2001).
Steve Dunn - President, East Region
Steve Dunn is President - Eastern Region for Greenstar Recycling - North America. He is responsible for the overall growth, development and operations of all facilities in the Eastern US. Steve has more has more than 25 years experience in the solid waste and recycling industry having worked both in the public sector and for private industry. Steve most recently worked for SP Newsprint in their recycling organization, based in Atlanta, where he was Director of Operations for the Central Region.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, Steve began his career at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and was later the Solid Waste Administrator for DuPage County, located in the Chicago metro area. There he managed solid waste planning including the provision of one of the first large automated material recovery facilities in the US along with coordination of curbside collection through cities located in the county.
Robert Pickens - Region Manager, Midwest
Robert Pickens manages the Midwest Region of Greenstar Recycling, North America. In this role he is responsible for all operations in Michigan, Iowa, and Oklahoma.
Mr. Pickens began his recycling career in 1987 with Weyerhaeuser Recycling. He served as operations manager for several Weyerhaeuser Recycling plants throughout the Midwest. With Weyerhaeuser, he also held the position of project manager overseeing operations on new company acquisitions. Mr. Pickens joined Mid America Recycling in 1998, which was later purchased by Greenstar Recycling.
