Green Plains Renewable Energy
Green Plains Renewable Energy, based in Omaha, Nebraska, is a vertically-integrated, low-cost ethanol producer and an emerging leader within the biofuels industry. Its strategy is to expand its vertically-integrated platform of agronomy services and grain procurement through ethanol production, marketing, blending and distribution. Through a combination of its six production plants located in the heart of the Corn Belt and third party marketing contracts, GPRE markets over 840 million gallons of corn-based ethanol per year, making Green Plains the fourth largest producer of fuel grade ethanol in North America.
