Tom Roche - Chairman

Tom Roche

Tom is a founding Director of NTR plc and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

He also holds a number of other directorships. He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with an MA (Economics) degree and holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Tom is a member of the advisory board of the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Jim Barry - Chief Executive

Jim Barry

Jim was appointed Chief Executive of NTR plc in June 2000, having served as Assistant Chief Executive and General Manager, Development.

Prior to joining NTR plc in 1998, Jim worked with Bain and Company, a leading global management consulting firm, and in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley International. Jim has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork and a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

Jim is on the Council of Patrons of Special Olympics Ireland and is a board member of The Ireland Funds. He also sits on a number of Advisory Boards related to activities in University College Cork and the Harvard Business School.

Michael Walsh - Group Finance Director

Michael Walsh

Michael was appointed Group Finance Director of NTR plc in February 2003. Prior to joining NTR plc, Michael was Group Finance Director and Company Secretary of Musgrave Group plc for ten years. Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982. Michael worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in both Dublin and London.

Michael is a non-executive director of Boundary Capital plc and EFMI Global Utilities and Infrastructure Funds plc and is also a member of the Council of the Institute of Directors in Ireland.

Brian Kearney - Non-Executive Director

Brian Kearney

Brian has run his own management consultancy firm for the last twenty years. During this period he was also Chief Executive of CardBASE Technologies Limited and Powerscreen International plc.

Brian is Group Chief Executive of Arnotts Holdings Limited, a retail and property investment group. Previously, he was chairman of Lifestyle Sports and a founder of the Premier Computer Group. He was a director of IWP International Ltd, McCormick Macnaughton Ltd and Moffett Engineering Ltd. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and represents the Institute on the Professional Accountants in Business Committee of the International Federation of Accountants. He also serves on the Professional Standards Committee of the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board.

Christopher Nash - Non-Executive Director

Christopher Nash

Christopher was appointed non-executive Director of NTR plc in September 2006.

Christopher was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Hydrodec Group plc. He has held senior positions with Global Crossing Limited, Cable & Wireless plc and North West Water International Limited.

He trained as a Civil Engineer and has a Masters of Business Administration from Manchester Business School. Christopher is Senior Independent Director at Hutchison China Medical Limited and an Independent Director of Zenergy Power plc and a non-executive Director of EVO Electric Limited.

Donal Tierney - Non-Executive Director

Donal Tierney

Donal is a Director and Chief Executive of Bimeda Holdings Plc since 2001. Prior to that he held various positions within its parent company, the Cross Group and was a Financial Analyst with Prudential-Bache in New York.

From 1997 to 1999 he was Chief Executive Officer of Clonmel Healthcare and Chief Operations Officer of its Parent, Fuisz Technologies from 1998 to 1999.

Donal has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters in Business Administration from University College Dublin.

Caroline Bergin - Group Company Secretary & Legal Advisor

Caroline Bergin

Caroline Bergin joined NTR plc as Group Company Secretary & Legal Advisor in July 2010.  Prior to taking up this position, Caroline was Company Secretary at Greencore Group, an Irish-headquartered and publicly traded convenience foods company.  Caroline began her career practicing law with A&L Goodbody, before joining Greencore in 1991, and was appointed Greencore Group Company Secretary in 2002.  A qualified lawyer and highly experienced company secretary, Caroline brings extensive experience, having been Company Secretary to multiple subsidiaries in Ireland, the UK and the US.
