Wind Capital Group
Since its foundation in 2005, Wind Capital Group has developed and constructed the only five operational wind farms in the State of Missouri, totalling 312 megawatts (MW), and in November 2012, commissioned its 201 MW Post Rock wind energy facility in Kansas.
The Company is committed to harnessing a clean, renewable source of energy - creating jobs, generating economic opportunity and building a strong foundation for domestic energy independence. Wind Capital Group’s model is built on forming responsible partnerships with the communities in which it operates and providing long-term value for its investors. It considers the local communities around its projects to be the key foundation of a successful development and place a great emphasis on community relations and cooperation with farmers, ranchers, landowners and local leaders. The company developed America’s first 100% wind-powered community in Rock Port, Missouri.
In March 2012, NTR announced that it had increased its shareholding in Wind Capital Group from 62% to 97%.
NTR Wind Projects
NTR has identified UK, Ireland and certain European countries as its primary markets for future wind project investments. The company is actively targeting small (<5MW) and medium scale (up to 40MW) wind projects that are close to construction or are operational. NTR works in conjunction with outstanding wind development teams to complete and operate long-term high yielding assets.
Highview Power Storage
Highview Power Storage is a developer of utility-scale energy storage and power systems which are deployable across multiple geographies and are scalable from a few megawatts to tens of megawatts. Its proprietary process uses cryogenic (liquefied) air or its principal component, liquid nitrogen, as the working fluid and the medium for storing energy. Working since 2005, Highview has a grid-ready platform specifically designed to meet rigorous utility operational requirements. The company operates a pilot demonstrator facility co-hosted by SSE (Scottish and Southern Electricity) which can deliver energy storage and grid balancing services. NTR has been a key corporate investor in the award-winning company since 2009.
National Toll Roads
National Toll Roads, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTR plc, is a shareholder in the CRG Waterford and CRG Portlaoise toll concessions whose contracts extend to October 2036 and November 2037 respectively.
Celtic Anglian Water
Established in 1998, Celtic Anglian Water (CAW) is the largest private provider of operations and maintenance solutions for water infrastructure in Ireland. CAW operates and maintains the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant for Dublin City Council, which is amongst the largest and most advanced wastewater treatment plants in Europe.
CAW also operates drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities for other towns and cities around the country, including Sligo and Waterford. CAW is a leading provider of water metering, billing, revenue collection and call centre services for its clients.
The 50/50 joint venture combines the in-house technical expertise of Anglian Water Group with NTR’s local knowledge of the Irish market.
