Successful Refinancing of €120m Greenstar Ireland Debt Facility Announced at NTR AGM

NTR plc, the international renewable energy group, announced at its AGM in Dublin the successful refinancing of a €120m debt facility for its Irish based sustainable waste management business, Greenstar (Ireland). The facility provides Greenstar with the continued financial flexibility to invest in its recycling and waste management facilities and to respond to opportunities arising from the potential consolidation of the Irish waste management market.

NTR’s Tessera Solar North America Announces 1.5 MW Maricopa Solar Plant

NTR’s Tessera Solar North America and Salt River Project (SRP) today unveiled plans to partner on a 1.5 megawatt (MW) solar project, Maricopa Solar LLC, in Peoria, Arizona, located in the West Valley of the greater Phoenix area. Maricopa Solar will be the first commercial-scale solar facility built using the innovative SunCatcher concentrating solar thermal technology, which is manufactured by Tessera Solar’s sister company, Stirling Energy Systems (SES).
NTR’s Green Plains Renewable Energy Announces Second Quarter Financial Results

NTR’s bio-ethanol investment, NASDAQ listed Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. today announced its financial results for the quarter ended 30th June 2009. Green Plains reported revenues of $284.7 million, a 29% increase over the first quarter of 2009, and net income of $0.6 million, or $0.03 per share, for the quarter.
