NTR Appoints Michael McNicholas To Its Board

Dublin, 7th October 2010: NTR plc, the international renewable energy group, today announces that Michael McNicholas, Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been appointed to the Board as an Executive Director. 

Mr. McNicholas was appointed COO in February 2010 and provides broad operational leadership across the Group’s businesses with a particular focus on NTR’s renewable energy portfolio (solar, wind and ethanol).

Prior to joining NTR, Mr. McNicholas was Director of ESB Energy International, the international investment arm of the Irish energy company. Mr. McNicholas brings over 27 years of experience in the Irish and international energy industry where he has held senior positions with responsibility for general management, delivery of major capital projects, funding, investing in international energy projects, managing regulatory environments and competing in open energy markets.
