Social Class Finalists Line Up For €500,000 Entrepreneur Award

A €500.000 fund was announced yesterday along with the six finalists names in the 2010 Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Awards. Supported by environmental charity the NTR Foundation, categories include mental health, education, young people, community and active citizenship. The six finalists will now undergo a four-month finalists’ programme. Three awards will be made in October from this initial list of six. A t the announcements were, Dara Hogan, Fledgling Early Years Education & Care, Tanya Harrington, director of the NTR Foundation, Sean Coughlan, chief executive of Social Entrepreneurs of Ireland, Paul Mooney, Jobcare Trasna programme, Michael Kelly, GIY (Grow It Yourself), Ireland and Carmel Dunne, Ceol.
