International renewable energy group NTR has appointed Caroline Bergin as legal adviser and company secretary as of July 2010.
Bergin will succeed Eamon Bolger, who will retire in July following eight years of service.
She joins NTR from Greencore Group, an Irish-headquartered publicly traded convenience foods company, where she has been group company secretary since 2002.
Prior to her joining Greencore Group, she began her career practicing law with Irish legal firm, A&L Goodbody.
‘We are delighted to have Caroline join our group executive team as company secretary as we continue to build out our international clean energy and resource sustaining business portfolio;’ said Jim Barry, NTR group CEO.
‘She brings extensive experience in managing publicly quoted company governance requirements and in advising on a broad range of transactions across the US, UK and Ireland.’
Founded in 1978, NTR has evolved from being a developer and operator of infrastructure in Ireland to an international developer and operator of wind, solar, ethanol and sustainable waste management businesses in the US, UK, and Ireland.
