NTR’s Green Plains Completes Acquisition of Ethanol Plant from Otter Tail Ag Enterprises

Dublin, 25th March 2011: NTR plc’s investment in the bio-ethanol sector, Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: GPRE), announced today that it has completed the purchase of an ethanol plant from Otter Tail Ag Enterprises, LLC. The plant is located near Fergus Falls, Minnesota and brings Green Plains’ total expected ethanol production capacity to approximately 740 million gallons annually.

Dublin, 3rd March 2011: NTR’s investment in the bio-ethanol sector, Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq:GPRE), announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full-year ended 31 December 2010. Net income attributable to Green Plains for the full year of 2010 was US$48.0 million, or US$1.51 per diluted share, compared to US$19.8 million or US$0.79 per diluted share in 2009. Revenues were US$2.1 billion for the year ended 31 December 2010, compared to US$1.3 billion in 2009.

Dublin, 28th February 2011: NTR plc, the renewable energy and sustainable waste management group, today announces its financial results for the six month period ended 30th September 2010.
NTR Group’s US based wind, waste and ethanol divisions continue to perform well, while the Group’s actions in response to the decision to delay the roll-out of utility-scale SunCatchers have since begun to produce results.

(NYSE: BLK) ("BlackRock") and NTR plc ("NTR") today announce the formation of a strategic relationship agreement to launch a new renewable power investment group. This comprises a number of key renewable power principals from NTR joining the BlackRock Alternative Investors (“BAI”) investment platform, which currently manages over US$110 billion of assets across a range of alternative investment strategies.

Imperial Valley Solar Project Sold to AES Solar

NTR plc’s solar development company, Tessera Solar, announced today that AES Solar, a joint venture between the AES Corporation and Riverstone Holdings, has acquired the 709MW Imperial Valley Solar Project in California. AES Solar develops, finances, constructs, owns and operates utility-scale solar power plants globally. AES Solar intends to move the project forward and is committed to working with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) to fulfil its obligations under the power purchase agreement.

NTR’s Wind Capital Group Signs PPA to Provide 201MW of Electricity to Westar Energy

Dublin, 15th December 2010: NTR plc, the international renewable energy group, today announces that its wind business, Wind Capital Group, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Kansas-based electric utility Westar Energy. Westar has agreed to purchase 201 MW of electricity from Wind Capital Group’s Post Rock Wind Energy facility, located in Ellsworth and Lincoln Counties in Kansas.
